Finally! it’s February. Was it just me or did January take forever?
I’m sure you have seen this poem by Brian Bilson on social media, but it seems so true:
The successive lockdowns are taking their toll on sense of time with a loss in day structure, shortened day light hours. This latest lockdown seems quite wearing, which on a personal front has affected my knitting motivation. Everything seems more interesting than knitting! hard to believe, I know.
But, having spoken to some of my wool reps, reviewed the new lines coming for Spring and Summer, I’m sure my enthusiasm will soon return – once I have finished a couple of projects I’m currently working on.
I will mention the new lines, nearer the time. However, West Yorkshire Spinners has released a wonderful new Home projects book, available over on my website. Using the finest British fleece, both aran and double knit weights, there are some gorgeous items to add to your home:
Optimism is on the horizon with spring flowers starting to make a show – alway a lift! and the vaccine rollout, with the most vulnerable and key workers getting inoculated first. Hopefully, life will return to some form of normality soon.
